While there is a great deal of pride up for grabs between these two franchises, there is even more at stake for the individual players. Chelmsford's Scott Martell and Michael Thompson have been to the ship twice now only to feel disappointment, and believe me, it stings. Daryl Wolfenden switched sides of the train tracks and now will have to battle his former teammates to knock them off the hill. Rookie Justin Guluzian better not think this happens every season and should capitalize on this opportunity. Tewksbury Huskies Dave O'Grady and Devin Amidon were victorious last season, but only left them hungry for more. They have the chance to join the ranks of two time champions such as Tim McGeown, David Fisher, and Greig Guluzian. Justin Martin finally feels what it's like to win a playoff series and has grinded out most of his time as a journey man player. Can he keep cool under the bright lights of the NEAWL championship? This will also be Matthew Mullen's third championship appearance having lost his first two. If he wins, he has the GM of the Flushing Pond Bassholes to thank.
This is of course a prediction of what may happen. You are the ones who play the game. You are the ones who write your own history. So make it a great one, the great one, Wayne Gretzky.
