As a player, Amidon is always in the conversation as one of the bests pitchers each season. He can locate his fastball and has one of the best sinkers in the league. You'll always see his name on top of the strikeout leaders as well, only needing 10 more Ks to reach the 500 strikeout milestone. He was an average hitter in the past, but focused off season workouts has increased his hand eye coordination and bat speed, making him a far superior hitter. He had a .396 average with 7 home runs and 27 RBIs last season. With this new hitting approach and pitching prowess, look for Amidon to rise to the elite level.
The biggest hurdle Amidon will need to get past is that elusive playoff series win and eventual championship. For now, Amidon has positioned the Weemen for a bridge year in order to stock up on talent for the 2016-S season, hoping to reunite with his beloved brother, Devin Amidon. Colin is an integral piece of the Weemen; don't look for them to be down for long.
